Busua Beach Community Caretakers
THE PROJECT
STEP
The first step is that we come together two times a week and clean the whole beach and the streets from plastic and trash. We also free and clean the draining systems of our community, to keep this beautiful paradise 'Busua' alive.

Secondly we teach people about the consequences of pollution and how to avoid it as well as how to not use that much plastic anymore. We often take the kids with us on our cleaning sessions to show them what they can do to make a change, and create awareness of the problem.

STEP
For the third step we have started to build dustbins to offer more opportunities to dipose of trash correctly instead of polluting the environment. We are working on getting more dustbins by the government. The main goal is to create a better waste disposal system and garbage separation, to be able to recycle some of the plastic.
